A phone farm box brings multiple Android mainboards into one chassis. YUANDA’s software supports ADB commands and Auto.js workflows, but a working installation still depends on the supplied firmware, permissions, script runtime and target app. Use this guide to plan a small verification test before expanding your device group.
For hardware selection, see the YUANDA Android phone cluster with ADB control and our Phone Farm Box buyer’s guide.
What does each control method do?
- ADB: connects a computer to Android devices for development, diagnostics and command execution. A serial number identifies the device receiving a command.
- Auto.js: runs Android automation scripts. Different versions and forks can have different APIs and permission requirements.
- Group-control software: provides the operator’s device view and supported batch controls. Its software licence, supported functions and integration work should be specified in the quotation.
Before connecting your first mainboard
Confirm the exact board model, Android version, computer operating system, connection method and supplied control software. Ask which Auto.js runtime and version were tested. Prepare a data-capable cable and obtain Android SDK Platform-Tools from the official Android developer website.
ADB normally requires USB debugging and authorization of the connected computer. A screenless mainboard still needs an agreed way to complete and confirm authorization; ask YUANDA to demonstrate this using the supplied configuration. Root is not required for every ADB command, and enabling root does not make every script compatible.
Three read-only ADB checks
Start with one board. In a terminal where ADB is available, list connected devices:
adb devices -l
Copy the intended device’s serial from that output. Replace SERIAL in these commands with that value:
adb -s SERIAL shell getprop ro.product.model
adb -s SERIAL shell getprop ro.build.version.release
These checks request the reported model and Android version; they do not install apps or change device settings. Save the results with your device inventory. When several boards are connected, explicitly selecting the serial helps prevent commands reaching the wrong device.
Move from one board to a controlled group
- Label each board and match its slot to its ADB serial. Check this mapping again after servicing or reconnecting equipment.
- Run one short, reversible workflow on one test device using an account and app you are authorized to manage.
- Record the app version, script version, permissions and completion result.
- Repeat on a small group before expanding. Decide how a failed device will be reported and how the workflow can be stopped.
A useful acceptance test is repeatable, produces a clear success or failure result and has a recovery step. A demonstration of one successful tap is not a measurement of sustained workload capacity.
Check Auto.js compatibility before ordering
Ask for the runtime name and version, a sample of the intended task, and any required accessibility or other permissions. Confirm whether the script depends on screen resolution, UI language, text labels or a particular app version. An app update can change its interface and require script maintenance.
If your workflow uses cloned apps, verify that the script opens the intended instance and reads the correct account state. If it uses AI, separately confirm API credentials, model access, integration setup, usage charges and a human review step where needed. API integration is configuration work, not an automatic feature of every connected board.
Common connection and script problems
- Unauthorized: confirm the computer authorization step on the device through the supported control method.
- Offline or missing device: check power, the data connection and the device’s debugging setup before scaling the test.
- More than one device: select the intended ADB serial instead of sending an untargeted command.
- Script stops after an update: recheck app UI, runtime compatibility, permissions and any coordinate-dependent actions.
Request a configuration-specific demonstration
Send your app name and version, script/runtime details, required board count and computer operating system. Different Samsung mainboard models have different CPU, RAM, storage and Android configurations, so the suitable model and price depend on the task.
